Proxy Configuration: Mozilla Firefox 2.x for Macintosh

We are transitioning to a new proxy server. Using the new proxy requires no set-up on your part, but anyone who used the old proxy server ** must ** undo the set-up for your browser before using the new one.

Follow the instructions below to undo the old proxy set-up.

Note:  You may find it easier to print out these directions before you begin.

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Next to the Apple in the top menu, click on "Firefox". Pick "Preferences" from the list.
  3. The preferences window will open up. You will see a listing of categories. Select "Advanced".
  4. Click on the "Network" tab.
  5. Under "Connection" click on the "Settings" button.
  6. A new Connection Settings window will open up. Delete the proxy address from the box. Choose "Direct Connection to the Internet".

  7. Click the "OK" button.
  8. That's it. Now you can use the new proxy server.
