UC Faculty Adopt Open Access Policy

On July 24, 2013, the Academic Senate of the University of California passed an Open Access Policy.  The policy ensures that future research articles authored by faculty at all 10 campuses of UC will be made available to the public at no charge.  Articles will be available to the public via eScholarship (UC’s open access repository) in tandem with their publication in scholarly journals. Previously, publishers had sole control of the distribution of these articles.

The fencing will be completed by the end of this week and will remain in place for the duration of the 2.5 year building project. Entrance to the Library is through the main (West) doors only during this time. A map of the site perimeter can be found here.
