Library Store Hours Extended for Dead Week and Finals
The UCEN has extended the hours for the Library Store to help you get ready for finals. Take a study break and have a snack or drink!
Using Our Computers? Save Your Work!
The most reliable method to save your work is to use a USB thumb drive. We highly recommend this method as the best way to prevent losing your work.
If you have emailed a file to yourself and want to edit it, you must save it to a USB drive or to our computer before making any changes. If you do not do this, it will not save your changes.
Open Access Fund Launched
The Library’s Open Access Fund Pilot Program is now accepting applications. The Fund helps scholars cover the cost of author fees when publishing in peer reviewed open access publications. Eligible authors will be reimbursed for up to $3,000 for unpublished articles.
Today, 9am-12pm: Pledge non-violence in WORD photo shoot in the Library
Isla Vista Arts & Culture Magazine is conducting a photo shoot in the Library today, and they are looking for people to get involved. They are creating a cover that features UCSB students and staff who have taken a pledge of non-violence. Find them in classroom 1414c (in the Curriculum Lab on the Library's first floor) between 9am-12pm to take your pledge of non-violence and have your portrait taken.

The Map & Imagery Laboratory (MIL) at UCSB Library is the largest imagery collection in any academic library in the country. The collections in MIL include a wide range of materials related to geospatial information such as globes, maps, atlases, aerial photography and digital remote sensing data.
