There will be no off-campus access to Library electronic resources and databases this Friday, November 28 from 6-10pm. Library buildings are also closed for the Thanksgiving holiday during that time.

Library Catalog: Find Books with Part of the Title or Author

If you know words in the title or part of an author's name, but do not have enough information to do an exact title or author search, you can do a title or author "keyword search."

You want to find the Harry Potter book about the Prisoner of Azkaban. You did an exact title search on "prisoner of azkaban" and got no results. Try a Title Keyword search instead in the Basic Search:

You can also see whether or not the library's copy has been checked out by looking for the numbers on the right. "1/0" means that the library owns 1 copy and that copy has not been checked out. "1/1" means that the library owns 1 copy and that copy is checked out.

You want to find books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, but are not sure whether to use the last name of "Garcia-Marquez" or "Marquez" for an exact author search. Try an author "keyword search" instead.  Use the "Basic Search" function and enter part of the author's name after changing "Search type" to "Author Keyword".
