Journalist Ray Ford will give a talk in the Library titled "History of Fire in Santa Barbara: Perceptions and Misconceptions."

On Exhibit in the Library: Burn Cycle: Sharing Land with Wildfire

The UCSB Library and the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management have commissioned Santa Barbara artist Ethan Turpin to create an exhibition on wildfire which is on exhibit on the first floor of the Library through May 2014.

UCSB Reads Selection Announced

The UCSB Library and the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor are excited to announce the selection of a book for UCSB Reads 2014: "The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America" (Mariner Books, 2010) by Timothy Egan.

Free Weekly Massages Start Tuesday

Free chair massages for students take place every Tuesday from 12-2pm in the New Books Area on the first floor of the Library. Sign-ups begin at 11:45am.
