The pieces exhibited in the Library were winners in UCSB’s first annual Art of Science competition, held during the summer of 2013. Winners were judged on their aesthetic excellence as well as scientific or technical interest.
The UCSB Library's 2-story historic building has been officially closed to the public. That part of the Library will undergo renovations and will not re-open until the Library Addition & Renovation Project is completed, two 1/2 years from now.
Currently on view at UCSB's Art, Design & Architecture Museum is "Unbuilt UCSB," an exhibition that displays building projects and designs that were intended for the UC Santa Barbara campus but never constructed or have yet to be completed.
