Additional Study Space Opened Up in Classroom 1575

In order to address the ongoing need for study space and seating while the Library is under construction, Classroom 1575 on the first floor is now open as a student study space outside of regular work hours.

Open Access Policy Implementation Project Wiki

A wiki has been created to provide an open, shared space where UC faculty, librarians, and other stakeholders can engage directly with the Open Access Policy Implementation (OAPI) team.

2-Story Building Closed for Renovation

The UCSB Library's 2-story historic building has been officially closed to the public. That part of the Library will undergo renovations and will not re-open until the Library Addition & Renovation Project is completed, two 1/2 years from now.

Microform Readers are Moving to 2nd Floor

The microform readers are moving to the second floor. Their new location will be above the main entrance.

Countdown to the Closing of the Two-Story Building

Partition walls are in the process of being constructed that will fully close off the two-story building to the public for the renovation of that part of the Library.

Curriculum Lab Move is in Progress (July 3-5)

The Curriculum Lab is currently moving to a new location.

Interlibrary Loan Now Open in its New Location

Interlibrary Loan has completed the move to the Third Floor of Davidson Library (Room 3523). The Service Desk is now open in their new location.

Map & Imagery Lab is Moving (June 25-June 27)

The Map & Imagery Laboratory (MIL) will close from noon on June 25 until 9am on June 27 as they move to a new location on the southwest side of the first floor.
