The UCSB Library's 2-story historic building has been officially closed to the public. That part of the Library will undergo renovations and will not re-open until the Library Addition & Renovation Project is completed, two 1/2 years from now.
Currently on view at UCSB's Art, Design & Architecture Museum is "Unbuilt UCSB," an exhibition that displays building projects and designs that were intended for the UC Santa Barbara campus but never constructed or have yet to be completed.
When the Library Addition and Renovation Project begins in mid-June, we will be emptying the existing two-story building. Much of the material in the Sciences-Engineering Library will go into temporary storage.
