Coming This Fall to a Library Near You... Bigger and Better Overnight Study Space

In preparation for our building renovation and addition project we are delighted to announce that we will replace the current 24-Hour Study Room with expanded Overnight Study services on the 1st and 2nd floors of Davidson Library starting this Fall Quarter.   This new Overnight Study service will be sustained throughout the Library Addition and Renovation Project and once the new building is completed.

The new service is:

Bigger and better: more than double the seating and offering computer workstations, wireless internet access, printing service, bill changers, copy machines, scanners, food vending machines, and our expansive main reference collection!

More secure: only accessible to UCSB students, staff, and faculty via card readers installed at the main entrance. Campus Community Service Officers (CSOs) stationed in the building will monitor the Overnight Study areas.

To minimize disruption to our building users, most of the preparations for this service will occur during the summer. All of the above improvements have been influenced by student feedback.  We thank you for your suggestions and we hope you enjoy the new space.
