The Employee Engagement Team (EET) Living the Values Employee Recognition Program began in January 2014. Each year a new recognition program is launched.
The purpose of the Living the Values program is to recognize our library personnel who are living the Library’s stated six core values, namely Collaboration, Diversity, Integrity, Innovation, Leadership, and, Research and Learning. These values are listed on the Mission, Vision, and Values webpage, at http://www.library.ucsb.edu/about-library/mission-vision-values.
The current Living the Values program encourages peer to peer recognition. Every time you recognize a colleague, s/he will be entered into a quarterly drawing for exciting prizes. So get your nomination in, be as specific as possible when filling out the nomination form, and help recognize those individuals that make UCSB Library one of the best places to work!
All nominated employees will receive a certificate representing the value for which they were recognized. Each quarter the nominations received for that period will be entered into a prize drawing. One randomly drawn nominee will win an exciting prize.
The fun doesn’t stop there! At the end of the year, the six nominees with the highest number of nominations from all of the bi-monthly values will have breakfast with the University Librarian. This will be a great opportunity to recognize the winners, and to meet and mingle with colleagues and share ideas for library enhancement.
