Fundraising Priorities
Financing for the UCSB Library Addition and Renovation Project was received through a revenue state bond initiative for approximately $76 million. This bond is a wonderful investment in UCSB, education, and scholarly pursuits. This funding, however, does not support all the necessary investments needed to advance the Library and meet the needs of students, faculty, and researchers. Therefore, we are seeking funds from individuals, foundations, and friends of the Library to meet other critical needs.
As we envision the ideal environment for next generation scholarship, we are investing in technology, equipment, furniture for twenty-first century users, as well as collections and resources for our campus and beyond. With your help, our scholarly community will have access to cutting edge research, flexible spaces that allow for group collaboration as well as individual study, and resources like the 24-hour information commons.
The University Library lies at the intellectual and cultural crossroads of UCSB. An investment in the Library is an investment in the entire campus.
