Q: How long will it take to access materials that are moved off-site?
Where possible within copyright and fair use requirements, content may be provided electronically. Provisionally, materials that need to be provided in physical form will be retrieved daily (Mon.-Fri.) from existing annexes. Where material is in storage at our temporary off-site facility and not accessible, we will rely on the established Interlibrary Loan system.
Materials in the off-site UC Southern Regional Library Facility (SRLF) are accessible in three to five business days.
Q: Can users go to the off-site area and browse books there?
The short-term arrangements during the project are likely to prevent this. For the longer term, we are exploring options and hope to design limited patron access to off-site materials.
