CAP (L. Korenic)

April 26 was the deadline for the review committees to forward all

material to the Vice Chancellor, Academic Personnel via the Library

Personnel Office. Three of the four review committees have finished their

work. CAP will be meeting to discuss the review process and local procedures.

L. Korenic will try to verify who will have the final signature on the review

packets (i.e., VC, Academic Personnel or Sarah Pritchard ). May 24 is the

deadline for the VC, Academic Personnel (or UL) to issue letters to the

candidates.

S. Lewis will chair an ad hoc mentoring group for new librarians. The

following LAUC members have expressed interest in helping with S. Lewis,

Gary Colmenar, Sylvia Curtis, Sarah Pritchard, Lucia Snowhill.

CPD (Nerea Llamas)

Program Committee (J. Martorana)

The CDL program today went well. The committee continues to develop ideas

for library presentations that address important social, cultural, and

professional issues that affect the library and the campus community.

Suggestions are always welcome.

The Executive Committee decided that since the issue of a computer use

policy is a library and campus-wide issue, and since library staff as well

as librarians are interested in being on a taskforce to develop such a

policy, it would be better to have the task force organized by the library

administration rather than by LAUC-SB.

Action: S. DeDecker will send LEC a memo.

The Nominating Committee is happy to announce the nominees for the next

LAUC-SB elections. June 11 is election day with results due by June 18.
