Minutes of the LAUC-SB Executive Board Meeting
October 16, 1998

Meeting convened at 10:00 am





Present: Sherry Dedecker (Chair), Janet Matorana (Vice Chair / Chair-Elect),


Sylvia Curtis, Lyn Korenic, Nerea Llamas, Gary Colmenar (secretary)





Agenda:





1.  Steering Committee:





J. Martorana was elected as the Library Representative to the Information and


Instruction Technology Center (IITC) Library Building Committee.  J. Vasi would


like suggestions from LAUC-SB regarding the participation of interested faculty


to the Steering Committee.


 


Action: LAUC-Exec will suggest to J.Vsai that he send a request to LAUC-SB 


for names.








2.  Program Committee  (Janet Martorana)





A program meeting is scheduled for October 29 @ 10:00 am to introduce our new 


Development Officer, Brian Kresin to LAUC-SB.  J. Vasi and Ron Tobin will be


invited guests.  The following topics will be discussed;

3.  Chair's Report  (S. DeDecker)





Meeting with EVC Nagel on October 26





Business meeting is scheduled for November 5th @ 10:00 am





Beverlee French from the California Digital Library (CDL) will be here on 


November 18.








4.  Meeting with EVC Nagel





LAUC-Exec would like to clarify the lines of authority within the library.


B. Kresin's role as the development officer will be broached too.
