The meeting convened at 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments were served.

The minutes from the meetings of 14 May and 4 June were approved and will be loaded onto the library Web server.

The results of the LAUC-SB elections, held on 8 June, are: Mary Larsgaard, Vice Chair/Chair-Elect; CAAR Chair, David Seubert; CAP Chair, Susan Moon; CPD Vice Chair/Chair-Elect, Eric Forte; Secretary, Chuck Huber. Sylvia will send out a call to LAUC-SB for volunteers to serve on local LAUC committees for 2001-2.

The statewide LAUC Executive Board transition meeting will take place on 17 August at UCB. Bev and Sylvia plan to attend. Sylvia will set a September date for the LAUC-SB transition meeting.

Reports

CAAR. Latin American and Iberian Studies Librarian: interviews will begin on 20 July. French and English Literature Librarian, Science Librarian: letters of recommendation have been requested.

Also, CAAR will resume work on "Guidelines and Procedures for Screening and Selection of Librarians."

CAP. CAP will work on adding to the LAUC-SB Web site's Nyholm page a tribute to the Nyholms and Ada Woods.

CPD. CPD has worked diligently to spend all of this year's travel funds. The committee will meet shortly with Sarah Pritchard to discuss travel funding for next year. The new Chair of the committee (as of 1 July) is Patrick Dawson.

Program Committee. Planning is ongoing for the Digital Issues Colloquium series.
