LAUC-SB Executive Committee Meeting, June 4, 1999

Present: Sherry DeDecker (Chair), Janet Martorana (Vice Chair/Chair-Elect), Sylvia Curtis, Patrick Dawson, Nerea Llamas, Gary Colmenar (Secretary)


The meeting convened at 10:00 a.m.





Agenda





1. Meeting with the University Librarian, Sarah Pritchard.



The Executive Committee scheduled to meet with S. Pritchard next week.

S. DeDecker suggested that the executive committee formulate questions

to ask S. Pritchard.   The following topics were suggested,



- To continue regular meetings of the Library Executive Committee and 

  the LAUC-SB Executive Committee.



- The consultative group that she plans to create. 



- Ways to improve our visibility on campus.



- Future of the Library Fellowship Program.





2. LAUC-SB Business Meeting.



LAUC-Exec agenda items:  local, campus and statewide reports.  Report on

Atkinson's speech to the Faculty Legislature.  Spring Assembly,  Update on 

Library Steps proposal.





3. Diversity Program



A panel discussion on race, affirmative action and disability issues is 

planned for Monday 14 from 9-11 a.m. According to S. Curtis, all 

participants who are invited can make it. 





The meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
