LAUC-SB Executive Board Meeting
February 19, 1998
The membership meeting on the 20th will address draft of Library vision statements.
A subsequent meeting will address the salary survey currently being conducted by
The recruitment for Music Librarian is ongoing. An offer has been proffered for
the position of Performing Arts Curator.
CAP: The packet related to academic review was distributed. The Committee met with
the Personnel Librarian to review solicited input related to the review process.
Files this year will following the usual course for review and signature.
CPD: Some LAUC-SB members have not yet exhausted travel funds for the year.
Several research proposals were submitted this year; none from UCSB.
Programs: On March 11th, 9:30-11:30, local therapist Annette Goodheart will speak
on Humor in the Workplace. The Spring program, taking place on May 22nd, is the LAMA Institute,
Customer Service Excellence.
Executive Board minutes will in future be distributed via e-mail, in addition to being posted
to the web site.
The Executive Board will request to meet with Dr. Ronald Tobin, special advisor
to the Library, followed by a membership meeting with LAUC-SB.
