Upcoming Programs

Program Committee - 4/11 Esther Grassian talk on LAUC and Information Literacy. The Program Committee is also in the process of planning programs on new trends in library schools and the Patriot Act. WOM's wine tour is scheduled for 4/11.

Planning Work to be done by LAUC-SB Nominations Committee

Two programs are being planned to generate nominations for LAUC-SB officers. 1) A brown bag lunch from 11:30-1 April 9 for membership to hear firsthand, from current officers, what the responsibilities of LAUC-SB officers are and why they should run for office. 2) For people who can't attend the lunch event, later that afternoon, Mary Larsgaard, LAUC-SB Chair, will host, in MIL, a wine and cheese reception to encorage people to run for office.

At each gathering Mary will have available a LAUC-SB voluteer form, which she is adapting from a systemwide LAUC volunteer form, which Pauline Manaka (UCI), recently proposed using to encourage participation.
