Trish went on a
horseback riding trip through the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica in
July. She says
they traveled through rain forests, deserts
and beautiful beach areas - always returning to their comfortable
hotel
after each adventure. Along the way she was treated to many
fascinating animal sights: monkeys,
wild parrots, iguanas, and a "too
close encounter with this rather large boa constictor (yikes! )".
From the desert to a black sand beach . . .

This volcancito (mini
volcano) is an 8x10 foot pot of boiling and bubbling mud found on
the Rincon de la Vieja volcano.

Costa Rica has six
active
volcanos. Trish didn't see the actual crater at the top of
the volcano since it would have
involved a grueling five-hour hike to the
top.
