Library Diversity Committee

Mission

The Library Diversity Committee is committed to recognizing, appreciating, and celebrating diversity in the workplace. The Committee encourages and promotes diversity in staffing, collections, and services.

The Diversity Committee embraces a broad definition of diversity and works to create an inclusive environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect. The Committee seeks to provide programs, activities, and resources that promote an enlightened understanding of diversity. Committee members serve as ambassadors in communicating the importance of fostering an open, accepting atmosphere within the UCSB Libraries.
