The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has awarded UCSB Library a $100,000 National Leadership Grant for "Always Already Computational: Library Collections as Data."
This year's common book is Into the Beautiful North, a fiction title by Luis Alberto Urrea that explores issues of border crossing, immigration, and return migration. The author will visit campus on April 24, 2017.
The Library's Late Night Study service for UCSB students, faculty, and staff is now offered over the entire 1st and 2nd floors Mountain Side. That's 1,000 seats all night long, most of the year, including quiet seating areas and a Graduate Study Room.
Did someone say free? Your instructors may have put readings on reserve with the UCSB Library to allow for broader access to course materials. Reserves come in either print or electronic form.
The Library's new Data Curation Program supports the active and ongoing management and preservation of data produced by UCSB researchers.
