Reserve Book List
Faculty, Instructor, and TA use only.
You may use the web form below to place library books, readers, videos, etc. on two-hour or one-day reserve for your classes. This Reserve Book List form is also available in two printable formats, Excel and PDF.
Syllabi and reading lists are not accepted in lieu of the Reserve Book List form.
Bring your printed Reserve Book Lists to the Davidson Library Circulation & Reserves Desk
or send them via campus-mail to the Reserve Book Service, 9010.
To place items on electronic reserve (ERes), see ERes FAQs for Instructors.
Reserve Book List submissions are due one month before the start of the academic term. The Reserve Book Service makes every effort to fulfill reserve requests as quickly as possible, but requests submitted after the deadline cannot be guaranteed to be on reserve at the start of the academic quarter. Late submissions are processed in the order in which they were received. Requests submitted during the first few weeks of an academic quarter might take several days to process. Items that need to be recalled or ordered will take longer. Please plan ahead.
We strongly recommend that you submit no more than 30 items for course reserve. This includes books, readers, and videos to be placed on physical reserve as well as documents posted on ERes. A series of course-generated documents posted on ERes (e.g. lecture notes or homework solutions) count as one item. If you need to submit more than 30 items for your course, please contact the Reserve Book Service.
In most instances, Davidson Library will not purchase textbooks for course reserve. You may submit personal or departmental copies of textbooks for placement on reserve.
