The UCSB Davidson Library collects publications from the United States, California, foreign governments, international governmental organizations, Santa Barbara City and County, and the western states.

Finding Government Information

While most government publications can be identified by using PEGASUS , we also have a large number of publications not included in PEGASUS . These publications are part of larger sets, and can be identified through the subject databases.

United States Publications

As a selective depository, we collect most documents published by the U.S. Government, including those of Congress, governmental agencies, and the court systems. Publications from Congress and the agencies are housed in the Government Information Center.

Court opinions are located in the main reference collection, also on the LexisNexis Academic database. Laws (United States Code, Statutes at Large) and the Code of Federal Regulations are also in the main reference collection.
