Serial Collection

Alphabetical List
An important collection including primary source materials that is unique for its historical
content, the Serial Collection has been used for various ethnic studies classes. The
material is of interest to many scholars researching Chicano (Mexican-American) topics.

This collection consists of newspapers and newsletters, published by a diverse group,
including political, religious and student organizations. In many cases they are self-
published by individuals and/or community activists.

The list is in alphabetical order and includes retrospective as well as more recent serial
titles. Serials in microfilm date back to the late 1800?s. Paper copies go back to the early
1900?s.

Unlike our other collections, most of the titles on this list are not found in Pegasus. A
number of them are in microfilm format (when we have a second copy, and this is
cataloged, we include holdings and Pegasus? call numbers). Serials in paper and
microfilm are in limited runs, sometimes only a single issue is owned.

Both formats are available through the Colección Tloque Nahuaque office, Monday-
Friday, 8:00-5:00p.m.
