Resource Directory

Resource List

The objective in compiling this directory is to assist in the selection and acquisitions of
Chicano Studies resources. Those serving the Chicano population by establishing and
maintaining up-to-date collections and libraries in the field of Chicano and Latino Studies
should find this of use.

We have received numerous requests for this type of information, from individuals,
institutions, and community organization, in this country and abroad. With more than 30
years of experience collecting for the Davidson Library?s Chicano Studies Research
collection, and realizing this need and demand, we offer these two separate listings.

We hope this directory will facilitate in the search and identification of vendors,
distributors, publishers and organizations, trying to supply the increasing need and
interest in the Chicano/Latino field.

Some of these resources have recently made Chicano materials available, while others
have a history of distributing and dealing with materials specializing in Chicano and
Latino studies. We provide as up-to-date information as possible. The minimum criteria
we use for inclusion is that each had a mailing address and telephone number. In recent
years, many have added Internet sites, which we have verified before inclusion.
