Subject List

Dissertations in Chicano/Latino Studies are a part of the Colección Tloque Nahuaque?s
holdings. We actively pursue the acquisitions of all dissertations completed here in this
country as well as abroad.

Most dissertations are in paper format; some are original manuscripts, and a smaller
number in microfilm dating from 1900 to the present. Doctoral dissertations in the area
of Chicano Studies completed at UCSB are also included. The areas we collect are
multidisciplinary, representing the field of Chicano Studies, reflecting the Chicano
(Mexican) experience in the United States, including border studies and Mexico-United
States relations.

We present two separate listing, one in alphabetical order by author. The second, in
general subject order. Dissertations are located with the book collection, by call number
order and accessible through Pegasus, the UCSB on line catalog, and the California
Digital Library.

These lists will be updated periodically as we add new titles. For up to date additions
and/or suggestions, contact Raquel Quiroz González in the Colección Tloque Nahuaque
office. Dissertations for sale are available by searching ?Digital Dissertations? offered
through ProQuest-UMI.
