Faculty and Graduate Study Carrels and Lockers
Faculty Study Carrels
There are a limited number of faculty study carrels available for faculty research use. They are assigned on a first-come, first serve basis. They may be used for only for demonstrated research purposes. They are assigned for one quarter, and may be reassigned for three more sucessive quarters. See the policy: Assignment of Library Faculty Studies.
Graduate Study Carrels
A very limited number of individual study areas are available for students who have formally advanced to candidacy. There is typically a waiting list of from several months to one year. Carrel assignments are for one quarter, and may be renewed for two more quarters if needed.
Lockers
Small book lockers are available to graduate and honors students. Locker assignments must be renewed each quarter. Cards are placed in the lockers
2 weeks before the end of each quarter. Those intending to renew for the
coming quarter need to fill out the card and return to the Library Safety
Office or submit via Web form. If the locker is not renewed by the
second week of the new quarter the locker's combination will be changed and
the abandoned locker's contents will be held in the Library Lost & Found
for 6 months.
