The 'US Business Directory' is a classic business tool. Choose BUSINESS, then COMPANY PROFILES. Then search for businesses by name or SIC section; for private businesses and companies, choose "US Private Companies", which accesses the US Business Directory, featuring information on millions of U.S. businesses by 6 digit SIC, name, or location. Also select "US Public Companies." Note that the Santa Barbara Public Library makes available a more robust version of the US Business Directory, under SBPL Online, Online Information Services, "Reference USA.".
