General Information

INT 1 is a one unit, Pass/No Pass course designed to teach the nature of research and the role of the library in the research process. No textbook. Class attendance is required every week.

INT 1 introduces students to the resources and services of the UCSB Library. Students will come away from this course with an understanding of how to integrate library resources and materials into the academic research process.

Evaluation of resources is an important component of this course. While completing the course assignments, you will be evaluating the resources you are learning to use and the results of your searches, and you will be able to apply these skills to your own research needs.
