Two volume set includes several-page profiles of industries by 4-digit
SIC (hundreds of different industries); includes current industry snapshot
and overview, major players, and prospects. Includes index by named company. See the sections starting with SIC 2411 (logging).

U.S. Industry and Trade Outlook. [Ref HC 101 U54]
Classifies U.S. economy into approximately 150 industries, with essays
and statistics on each industry. See the chapters on "wood products" and "paper and allied products."

Forest Management Program Annual Report. [Govt Pub A
13.2: T 48/55]
This report used to provides an overview, with data, of the state of timber on national forest lands, but has recently been discontinued. Data comes for the Timber Sale Program Information Reporting System, designed to provide an annual report-- like a corporation's annual report- of the revenues and expenses associated with harvesting timber on public lands. GAO reported inaccuracies in the data.
