New International Sound Recording Collections

Two new international 78prm collections have been added to the historical sound recordings archive in Special Collections, the Kutay Derin Kugay collection of Turkish recordings and a collection of African recordings.

Discography of American Historical Recordings Unveiled

The Library is pleased to announce the public availability of the Discography of American Historical Recordings (DAHR), a new online database that expands upon and will replace the Encyclopedic Discography of Victor Recordings (EDVR).

Ethan Turpin will offer an artist talk in the Library's Mary Cheadle Room on Wednesday, February 19 at 4pm.

On Exhibit in the Library: Burn Cycle: Sharing Land with Wildfire

The UCSB Library and the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management have commissioned Santa Barbara artist Ethan Turpin to create an exhibition on wildfire which is on exhibit on the first floor of the Library through May 2014.

Artist Diane Gamboa to Speak at the Library on October 23rd

On October 23rd at 4pm, artist Diane Gamboa will give an illustrated exhibition talk in the Library’s Mary Cheadle Room on the third floor. This event is free and open to the public

University Archives Addition: William Dole Papers

The papers of William Dole (1917-1983), American abstract collage artist born in Angola, Indiana, and former Professor of Art at UC Santa Barbara, are now available for research.
