We have free Internet access on all public computers in the Library.

          orange bullet  WiFi
Free WiFi or wireless internet access is available in the 24-Hour Study Room and on the
1st, 2nd and 4th floors. The dataport tables in the 24-hour Study Room and on the 4th floor
allow you to plug in directly to the Library network. You will need to bring your own ethernet
              cable.

          orange bullet  CJK
Chinese, Japanese and Korean font is available on 5 computers in the lobby of the
              East Asian Library.

          orange bullet  Software
Microsoft Word is available on a limited number of computers in the Library. Ask at the
Reference & Information Desk. For Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and other specialized
applications, please use the Phelps Computer Labs.

          orange bullet  Printing and Photocopying
Photocopying is self-service. Copiers are located on most floors of the Davidson Library
and in the Arts Library. You will need a copy card to print from the computers. They are
available from vending machines on the 1st and 2nd floors and in the Arts Library.
Photocopies and printings from computers are 10 cents per page

orange bullet  Study Areas and Quiet Study
Generally, floors 4 through 8 are quiet study floors. There are a few rooms that are
specifically designated to be quiet, where cell phones and talking are
prohibited. See the Library Floorplan or ask at the Reference & Information Desk. Learn
more about the other study areas that we provide.

          orange bullet  Library Food Policy
You may bring drinks into the Library as long as they are in covered containers. Food is
ok too, as long as it is not too messy. Please be considerate!
In the 24-hour Study Room the rules are a little more relaxed -- you can even have a pizza           delivered there!

    Locating Materials in the Library

orange bullet  We have open stacks at the Library, which means that in most cases you will go to the           shelves yourself to find your books.
orange bullet  Materials are organized according to the Library of Congress Classification system.
This tutorial from the University of Wisconsin gives a good explanation of LC call
